We’ve talked about you guys coming to visit us in Vietnam so we wanted to put together what the trip could actually look like.
Nothing here is set in stone. It’s just a mix of places we already love, places we want to try, great food, pool days, beach days and plenty of time to do absolutely nothing.

Since we live here part of the year, we already have a bunch of places we love and want to take you. We also have a few new ones we’ve been wanting to try.
Most days we’ll plan one main thing. Maybe a resort like VinWonders, I-Resort, the beach or a play center. The rest of the day can work around naps, food and whatever everyone feels like doing.
That’s basically the plan.

BEACH, CITY & ISLANDS
The city sits right on the water. Beach in the morning, coffee in town and the islands just across the bay.
RESORT & POOL DAYS
One of our favorite things about living in Nha Trang is that you can spend the day at some really nice resorts without actually staying there.
These are the ones we want to do while you’re here.
This is probably our favorite resort day in Nha Trang.
It’s over on Hon Tre, so getting there feels like a little trip without actually being much work. We can get over in the morning, find a good spot by the pool, have lunch, let the kids play and stay as long as everyone is having fun.
We like this one enough that we’ll probably do it twice while you’re here.
We love I-Resort. There are warm pools, mud baths and plenty of places to hang out for the day. It works really well with kids, and one of us can always sneak off for a massage. Definitely on the list.
We stayed here before and had a great time. It’s a little island near Hon Tre and only a short boat ride from the Vinpearl area. Instead of just doing a day trip, we thought it would be fun for all of us to stay one night, have dinner there and come back the next day.
We haven’t been here yet, but it looks great for families. Big pools, kids’ areas, beach and plenty to do without needing to leave the resort. We thought we could try it together.
These are good options when we want another pool/resort day without making a huge plan out of it.
We’ve been to Boton Blue before and like the pool there. Mia is beautiful and another place we really like, so we can always swap one of these in depending on what everyone feels like doing.
Food
This might be the part of the trip we’re most excited about.
We already have our regular places in Nha Trang, so you’re not going to have to spend two weeks searching Google Maps for somewhere to eat.
And obviously, lots of Vietnamese coffee.

In other words, “should we just get massages?” becomes a very reasonable question.

TRAVELING TOGETHER
The nice part about traveling together is that nobody has to be on kid duty every second.
If one pair wants to go do something, the other can hang with the kids. Then we switch.
If everybody wants to do nothing, even better.
VINWONDERS
We definitely want to do VinWonders together.
There’s the aquarium, zoo, rides, kids’ areas, water park and plenty to see.
We don’t need to try to do everything.
We’ll go, see what the kids are enjoying, take breaks when we need them and probably stay into the evening if everyone is still having a good time.
Massages & Spas
This part is non-negotiable.
Massages are inexpensive and easy to get here, so there’s no reason everyone shouldn’t get some time to themselves.
One pair watches the kids, the other gets massages.
Then switch.
We can also do spa treatments, mud baths or just disappear for an hour whenever the opportunity presents itself.
The Plan
This is just an idea.
We’ll move the cards around if the weather, the kids or we have other ideas.
Get settled, take it easy and go out for one of our favorite dinners.
No real plans.
Our first resort day.
Take the kids somewhere to play and trade off getting massages.
Aquarium, zoo and whatever else everyone wants to see.
Pools, mud baths, food and massages.
Coffee.
Take the short boat over and stay the night.
Have an easy morning on the island and head back whenever we’re ready.

Yes, we’re going back.
